Thanks for the tip off Taffy....it's worth a punt as it looks Ti in appearance, but i'll be taking the magnet along  The forks should give me a return alone anyway...should i decide to sell them on...

£36.02....can't lose really and it's only a 30 min drive from me....

Not like i need another bike but how could i pass this one up?

Drew :)

Ahh good :)

i was tempted but it's a looong way to go. look's a like a right bargain to me TBH,.

As mentioned in the other thread about this. LGF, you should go check your old Trek 7000 pictures out. Trek 7000 was red in 1992, Trek 8000 was red in the years before that.

Of course need close up for confirmation.

Top of the stays look correct, seatstay brace could be arch, drop out look correct.

So makes it Alu (could be the steel one but looks to chunky for steel of that era), Ti is just the grey re-paint.

and the way the front mech needs to work is also Trek-esk (though LGF used a modern solution )

Coudl be wrong of course.

Yup, as Fluffychicken suggests this is in fact a Trek 7000/8000 from the early 90's....almost 100% convinced having spoken to the seller...although not picked it up yet.....

This will be stripped down so i can keep any decent components, and sell on what i don't need (eg. Frame, forks, etc).....not looking to make a huge profit but be nice to get my money back.... :)

PS. Thanks for all your help Fluffychicken... :D
