I have an excellent condition UN90 BB which I can't use because it's a 73mm bb shell, and all my bikes are 68mm. This is off a bike I recently purchased for parts that has seen very little use, none of which offroad. This is clearly the case since as all of the other XTR parts off the same bike are in near mint condition. Spins super smooth and cups and tapers are perfect.

Would like to swap for another UN90 or UN91 bb with 68mm shell in similar condition and spindle length of 113mm. Would also be willing to swap with Race Face or Syncros BB with spindle length of 107mm, 113mm or 122mm. May even consider just cups for a Race Face Taperlock BB if the are in mint to excellent condition.

Swap or now for sale… $35

non drive side comes off easily, it's a PITA to knock off the drive side one. and that's assuming you can find matching spare cups. i'd rather pass this on to someone who'd need one for their build then to wreck a perfectly good working bb in excellent condition.

hello,

i will have to check my stumpy, but i believe that needs a 73mm shell BB. i have a 68mm UN-90 or 91 in good condition. it's been used but not abused. have to clean it and check the type. will lett you know asap.

You can easily fit it in a 68mm frame. Use some spacers on the drive side, a 2.5mm iirc. (Same way the HT-II modern jobs works and though you don't use the spacer left for the e-type bottom bracket. and I think the M95x worked and etc..
Advantage you have is you can tune the chainline with different sized spacers ;)

I'm doing this on one of mine (single 2.5mm on driveside - exactly as FC says), still plenty of thread inside the shell so it's no problem :)

Spacers are something like two quid a pair from CRC from what I remember...

Alternatively you could sell me this one!

May have what you're after......will have to go check the man cave and get back to you later this evening (off for a ride now  )

Thanks for the tips guys about the spacers. I may just end up doing that.

if you are still interested in a swap, let me know!

Just a follow up....sorry but the b/b turned out to be another 73mm...was sure it was 68mm....maybe it's been laying around so long that it's grown a bit....good luck in your hunt

hello,

i'm still interested in swapping. will try to measure the BB shell tonight.

and yes my son has a Wheeler 9900ZX. i'm building that one for him. it has Deore LX front and rear mech, LX cranks, Pulstar rearhub, Deore DX front hub, Shimano V-brakes, Avid levers, X-ray shifters, Judy XC fork, and i'm now trying to get purple stuff to complete the bike.
