Does not make for a good combination.

Got extra heat on the pipework to see if they will clear and plenty of paracetamol for the man-flu.

Boom boom!

I had my first days off work in 10 years last week with a corker of a dose of the man- plague....... My other half entered the room at 8.30 Sunday reporting a burst radiator and 1 inch of water in the kitchen....... Cue a day repairing pipework and mopping up........ Really not funny at all!......

we have water!

luckily, the mains is a rubber hose pipe style thingy and the only copper piping is indoors

My house is playing games with me

I have a gravity fed oil burner boiler

upstairs has both hot and cold water...downstairs has cold only no hot

not flu but man I have a stinking headache

Is that the disadvantage of central heating, it's like a bank, it gives you an umbrella when it's sunny, but takes it away again when it's raining. No central heating here, I just leave the oven on and the airing cupboard door open, that and loads of warm clothing and treble duvets.
