U brake replcement

Dont know if this has been done before, But the U brake on my GT was pants so today i had a play about with an old Magura and it worked. take a look

Just turn the mounting brackets upside down and they just about fit bit of a squeeze with a 2.3 tyre on though

Not to sure to be honest, but i think fred and wilma had them on there car

That looks truth But your lucky as the new Mag's don't fit U boss's Much to my cost

Didnt realise there was much difference in the mounting brackets, I bought a newer model off here and the brackets looked very similar, the levers were totally diferent but the rest looked the same.

I had to file out where the boss fits but only a tiny bit, but i put that down to the alloy being squashed through over tightening though.

I see. the bosses are about 1.2mm dia bigger for U I plan ti fit Mags to my Trimble. Try again as they are really good brakes.
