I planned on switching the front round on the back so the tread runs t'other road.

Another vote for Nobby nics, I replaced my old Z max and dart with these and was well impressed

Merlin had a deal on these as well for under £50 a pair.

In terms of performance for the South downs way, most riders and shops around here (Midhurst, Haslemere, P'field) swear by the Panaracer Fire. The knobs protect the carcus from flints.

As Tioga and Ritchey are out of tyres, it just leaves Panaracer to fly the flag for retro brands. I still have Smoke and Dart re issue tyres in a box for a special occasion.
