Twist the tyres round in a figure of 8 shape then fold together. Use a bit of string to hold them together. Place in a thick black bin liner and wrap parcel tape around the whole package in a couple of layers so you can't see the black bin bag anymore.
This is what I do - keeps the package as light as possible, not too big and is secure enough for a strip of rubber!!

anyone sent tyres before? whats the cheapest option?

i sent a pair of tyres std parcel for about £4.50 or so

tbh parcel shape deosnt bother RM - ive received them just wrapped up like a giant err hoop as well as boxed/bagged in a figure 8
