I think you are right -certainly the early ones. I need to do a little more research, mine is one of the later/last ones from 1952

Let's see some pictures when you're able. I've a soft spot for Holdsworth, Claud butler, Raleigh, Carlton, Bates, Dayton, Viscount, I digress. Some pictures would be lovely

Raleigh/Carlton employed a good deal of TDC Alatet on high quality models from at least the fifties through at least 1973-74

one of the things found interesting anent our subject iron is that it is dated as ca. 1940 and came with an Alatet; have never known a launch time for the model...
