Two weeks of severe lower back pain

I'm getting bored of this :x Nothing to do but work it out apparently.

That's good advice. Keep mobile and use ibuprofen if its inflamation related.

Mrs LMTTM is a specialist physio - she would say to stay away from those chiropractor shisters.

Failing that I offer a very good back crack (but so sack) that seems to cure most things*

*obviously by cure I mean helps focus the pain elsewhere

Welcome to my world!! :(

My advice is, let the back settle down for a few weeks, then go for a sports massage. That way you will find if you have any underlying problems.

The advice to stay away from chiropractors is a good one.

I gotta go back to my gp about mine.. the x-ray showed nothing so he needs to do something else to find out what's wrong..

When you say 'let it settle'.. is that just resting it.. no lifting, carrying etc.??

Kinda!

If my back 'goes out' I rest it completely for the first 2 or 3 days and use hot and cold compresses on the area. I use Ibuprofin if need be,but try not to drug myself up too much,as I'm the kind of d*ck that would start doing things again whilst the pain killlers numbed me!! Maybe doing more damage.

After a few days complete rest, I would start slowly getting back into some sort of normal routine, but not lifting anything, and I mean anything! After a week or so I would go and see the sports therepist, get told off again, then lay down and wait for the PAAAIIN.
