Had one of these as a kid in the late 80s. Snapped the frame off an insane/impossible drop off.

Back to original as I had it (T-Bone and tyres aside).

Resisted respray, prefer retaining history.

Next up, 1994 Marin Indian Fire Trail.

It’s the same one posted by was8v, just changed to how I had it as a kid.

Not the best touch up but colour match and fade on Tushingham is really tricky.

What is your interest in Tushingham if I can ask?

Nothing more than an interesting piece of UK Mountain bike history which is poorly documented at present. The Tushinghams were sold for a very limited time in limited numbers (there were multiple variations of frame features), they were the first bikes that carried the Orange branding before the wishbone stayed Orange's became available. (Unsold Tushinghams were rebranded as Orange).
Without Roger Tushingham dipping his toe in the water (No pun intended), Orange may never have become the brand it did under Lester Noble.
Through a mass produced far east frame set we have links with several UK builders all who contributed to the eventual success of Orange.
To add to the story, all we need is to find a Tushingham Works Replica, a true unicorn!

Great to see another one still out there. I've just spent the last few months restoring one too. Its been in the family since it was bought from new at a windsurf shop on the south coast. Nearly all original (rear tyre, saddle and the forks needed replacing). Pics below.

Appears to be one of the 'later' early ones. (a completely made up designation by me to try and track the changes in frame details!)
Would you mind sharing the serial number either publicly or via PM, it's located on the bottom bracket shell.
Do you recall the name of the shop where it was purchased?

I'll try and dig out the number for you - will also try and get the shop details. My stepdad was big into windsurfing at the time hence going with a Tushingham...
