Who's using what on their TT's then, anyone using MTB's :?:

Would i be better off using a road bike :?:

Yes on the roadbike front.

I used my MTB only a couple of times until I got my roadie back from my parents house.

Its far easier to spin on a roadie, so if you havent got one I suggest you use a slick tyre on your MTB.

Yeah, got the slick, one of those orange things "conti"
Might well pick up a cheapy off the bay then
While were on the subject, what are those TT's being used at the velodrome...looked like both wheels turning, and the bike moving side to side :? I bet there expensive :?:

Rollers mate

You actually 'ride' your bike on them, takes a bit of getting used to, but once you have the hang of it they are brill :D

And no, not expensive really, I know didnt give much for my set second hand.

Being able to fall off in your garage doesn't appeal to me! Hence the TT is best :)

I use my winter roadbike, but can't see why a slicked up MTB would be any different.
TT are the way forward for fitness with a family :)

Its looking more likely that this is going to be the case
I'm finding it harder every day to pull myself away from the little bean
I'm going to be hitting the TT hard, as of next week :!:
I've had it 6 months and only used it 4 times  That's pretty poor really.
Thanks for clearing up the roller mystery for me, never heard of them before. Look quite basic really.

I havent used the TT yet , but the rollers do take time to get used to .

I remember hopping off rollers at 30 mph in a garage......

Needed fresh shorts afterwards...
