Turbine's

Retrobrains, I've just bought these and (looking through the rattle can finish and the water) they appear to be a set of turbines but what's the deal with the solid sides (no machined pockets)? Does this make them early, late, downhill, anything else?

DH version had the solid sides from what I remember.

Always fancied a set but never looked too hard back when as I was on more of a LX budget rather than XTR etc.

The DH crank and the OEM version also had solid sides
That looks like a CMP BCD so I would say they are probably OEM cranks.
I'm pretty sure the Turbine DH cranks only came with STD BCD.
Only the Aftermarket LP's had the machined sides
