Right,
Just off the blower to Big Eck

Toying with the idea of organising a trip down to Morzine or Les Gets

Leaving from Edinburgh, & collecting another 2-3 folks on the way down south

Would be hiring a minibus or merc exec thingy from my work on the cheap

Would be looking at a trip lasting around 7 days at most
(two weeks would be too long, hard work for me  )

I have never organised anything like this before, so any tips & hints would be appreciated

Would any members here be SERIOUSLY interested??

i'll be there from the 21st of july for a week. the best time to go is the last 2 weeks of july to the 1st 2 weeks of august.

try http://www.morzinelets.com/?gclid=CP-3h ... fAodSU0CYw for accommodation, we're paying £500 between 4 of us for a week for a 2 bedroom apartment. try and stay in morzine as opposed to les gets though, it's lower down so if you get a last ski lift from the swiss side you can still carry on riding home, if you got the last lift and had to get back to les gets you'd be stuffed as you'd have to climb on downhill (i assume) bikes.

also depending on the vehicle you get think about going from newhaven to dieppe as opposed to dover to calais/dunkerque.

it was the same cost for the van from newhaven but less miles to get there and slightly shorter on the french side aswel.

it might be worth looking at flying though as the fuel costs may be high, also don't forget the toll motorways, they will be around £50 each way. it's worth it for us to drive as there are 4 of us in 1 vehicle so overall it works out way less than driving to the airport, paying for a weeks parking, flying, transfers, and the extra that the bike charge is.

hope that helps :)
