Trimble..... the adventure continues (mock build Page 6)

We had a day without bugs today, so.................

Not the colour I was going to go for originally but I had a change of heart, and I'm feeling better about my choice now

And my fork option number 1

Pink was too shocking, was gonna do a pink,purple blue fade but I wasnt feeling the right vibe from it.............. its gonna stay this lovely shade of green that somewhat reminds me of a specialized stumpjumper from 1995 (i think) .
don't shoot me down on this but I'm thinking of using this as my 'work ride' so may yet fit some mud guards, slicks and a rack.......... :shock:

The plan so far...................

We are going full deore Dx with the exception of deore comp pedals, I was going down the black LX group path as I have a good nic groupset sat in the shed but my favorite grouppo has to be DX so I'm doing another DX build but this time a 4 finger lever to yank the U-brake into the nice rim nos RM17 rims I've got to lace up

If you havnt already noticed my fork option number one, the unicrown taper fork has rollercam/u-brake mounts and I thought it'd be nice to build a double U Trimble. my only problem with this is that fork is an old fork and as such has a smaller internal making the Roo bar too big by a mm or two, so Im planning on sanding the quill down until it fits nice and snug.

Until then we have fork option two, which for those who are familiar with the Rasta Trimble will come at no suprise............ a nice Marzocchi bomber 2, gotta say it will make a much more comfortable ride!
