As a combined post Christmas and warm up to Cannock ride, Mike and I hit our usual loop. Halfway round and whilst admiring the countryside I spotted a nice steep bank in the distance sporting some tricky looking root infested drops 
. 10 minutes later, following a ride through some nice woodland, we were stood at the top of what turned out to be a very steep bank, dropping down through some trees to a stream.
After assessing the many potential drops in we both cleared the easiest line. Then after gaining some confidence on this one (or getting cocky whichever suits!), we decided to try the ‘drop down between the trees’ line.
And finally, I decided to try the steepest line. As you can see, I didn’t clear it
Maybe it was punishment for not riding retro that day!
