Tri Spokes/Spin etc

It's nothing to do with skill or otherwise. It's the cycling equivalent of putting 19" rims and slammed suspension on a corsa then driving down a potholed street.

Rather "crashy".

Definately a different feeling from regular spoked wheels.
The 4 spoke Spinergy wheels were supposed to have cushioning/shock absorbing qualities, can't say I ever noticed that, I'd also describe them as "crashy"

And yes they were still a very different ride from spoked wheels.

And my spinergies were sold 20 years ago! Once it looked like they were going to be banned

I`ll slum it with a conventional wheelset I have- M950 hubs laced with ti spokes to SUP X517 rims.

I assume you’ve seen the spins on eBay that are bidding up from £0 not perfect but not too bad condition. I may even have a bid if they cheap (which I doubt)

Just under 5 days to go and they are already at £170 :shock: the world`s gone mad.

I’ve just been messing with my red Zaskar and tried some X517 lemon rims on it and it looks fab. Looks less “heavy” and serious than with the spins.
