Trek ZX6500

Hi I'm new and was advised to ask on this site about a frame i've got - yes, a ZX6500 (1996/7). Anybody got any pix, info. etc., I'd be most grateful. Martin Brighton, UK

Hi there, welcome to the site, i also had a 1997 Trek 6500 great frame, if im correct all the tubes were bonded together not welded, i think they only did this for one or two years.

Do you just have the frame or is it the complete bike. Ive got the catalogue here if you need any info, also in Brighton too!!!

I've just got the frame Chris. It was very tatty when I got it and I'm layering on paint where there were large patches of bare aluminium, it's beginning to look quite resonable. Whereabouts are you in Brighton? Be interesting to see what it looked like originally and how it was specced. Or if you've got access to a scanner maaybe you could scan it for us and send the jpeg? A freind of mine used to have a ZX6500, as far as i know it is still laying at the side of the E05 motorway in Paris. He lost it off his roof rack at 4am on a sunday morning trying to get to the ferry on time and didnt go back for it.
