Bontrager Ti lite

That a great weight! Much lighter and it gets super skittish in my experience!
I agree. :)
It's probably gone up a bit with the Sachs stuff but should still be hovering around 10kg/22lb.
If I really wanted too, a rigid fork would shed a pound and I could get the same out of the tyres and tubes. I'm not doing flimsy tyres again though, not worth the bloody punctures for a few grams and as you say they get a bit skittish, higher pressure to try and avoid pinching and then bounce off everything.
It's how I want it, the lightweight is just a happy bi-product that I won't complain about. :)

The tinkering continues. Like the Race Lite I think we're near forever spec with this too. As bad as it sounds I think I'm on the verge of a break from retro for a while, I'll be keeping the Bontys but modern is calling. 👍 😁
The Sachs stuff works and is pretty cool but I'm an XTR man at heart. So, lots of Ti, a smattering of M950 with a touch of White Industries goodness. I'll probably refit the Z2 when I get round to fitting new seals, it adds a pound but is just a better fork all round.
If I reach for a retro at the moment it's this or the Race Lite, both special and I can't pick a favourite from the two. 🙂 _20250815_110724.webp
