For Sale Trek Fuel EX6 MTB 26" for sale

Fragglerock

Retro Newbie
For sale is my wife's Trek Fuel EX 9 MTB (affectionately known as the Red Steed). Not used for the past 8-9 years due to a knee injury (not cycling related). Has been dry stored in the garage in the hope that she might be able to ride it again.
No dents or cracks, few age related marks/scratches from use. Originally purchased from Leisure lakes cycles and will come with the booklet from the sale.

Great bike for a youngster to get into MTB or a pub bike for a shorter rider - 5'6" - 5-8". (I am 5'10" and its too small for me).

Size Small. 26" wheels (Bontrager rims in good true running order, tyres with good grip on them)

3 x 9 Speed gears
Sram X-7 rear mech & Shifters
Rockshox rear shock and Rock Shox air forks - stansions in good condition. No oil leaks
Cassette and triple chain rings have been replaced. Gears and shifting work well. Cables were replaced with Shimano XTR cables for slick operation.
Hayes 9 disc Brakes (note will need a bleed).

The not so good bits.
There is some cable rub on the top of the fork crown - See photos
The brakes will need a bleed. There is some corrosion on the front brake leaver housing
Small tear on the nose of the saddle.

Located near Southam, outside of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
I travel to Birmingham for work so could potentially bring to work (M6-Jct6)

Hi, my youngest really wants a full susser. I built him what has turned out to be a very nice hard tail, but wondering if this may suit his suspension needs.

He's small, I can't get away from that, and 12 years old.

What's the seat tube and top tube length in this?

Thanks.

Hi, the distance from the seat tube to the headset is 530mm (center to center)
The seat tube length is 490mm

Even has a CD in the manual!
