well at least it is in the family. first refusal to you when i learn to hate it!
i am looking forward to seeing just how this rides. they have a reputation for being terrible but chris longun seemed happy with his and this has a similar shock mod.
really want a delta v next. and a non-cracked rts. and a verlichi/iron horse. and a kona s.ex 1. and.....

The dale is too much for my fragile bones.
I collected the trek this morning and found out just how big this county is!
The seller was a really pleasant chap. Turns out he bought the bike in 95, its first 3 years being I'm the hands of a racer. The second owner has used it until recently.
A few years ago he had a shock rebuilt for it by tf tuned.
It seems largely original or at least period. I intend for it to be catalogue spec if if is close to it. Sti's are xt, everything else is dx. Front and rear brakes miss match so need to discover which is correct and sort it.
It came with manuals too. There is also a trek tool enabling the use of a normal pump to add air to the fork. That is priced at 30 quid, the box being dated 1992 .
Condition is pretty good. There are marks and scratches but I intend to keep the patina.
12 hours into ownership and I am very happy.
