Hi have for sale a Trek 9.8 Elite. As alot of people will know these are one of the best XC hardtail bikes around. Although this is a older model, approx 2003. The current model isnt drastically different. This bike is the same as ex world champion Roland Green use to ride.
Trek oclv carbon frame 19.5"
Rockshox sid forks 80mm travel
New XTR M970 chainset and bottom bracket (£400)
XTR M950 front mech with carbon plate
Sram 9.0 rear mech
Sram 9.0 SL grip shift
Sram 9.0 SL brake levers
Avid Titanium V brakes
Rolf Propel tubless ceramic wheels
Michelin XCR tubeless tyres
Easton CT2 carbon bar
Easton CT2 carbon seat pin
Bontrager 110mm stem
The bike is 19.5" which was classed as a medium on this particular model that year. Its more like a large in my opinion suiting a rider of 5ft10 to 6ft2
The bike has a number of scuffs and paint blemishes, iv tried to picture them. But they are only cosmetic, no damage to the carbon, to be honest the paint quality isnt very good hence the number blemishes.
The rear wheel had a snapped spoke so i removed it and trued the wheel. This obviously would idealy want replacing (approx £10-£15 from your local shop) but will work fine without if it doesnt bother you.
The forks hold air and dont need new seals. The wheels are true and the hubs are very smooth. The bike rides as it should and its light at about 21-22lb.Ideal xc bike at a fraction of the original cost which would of been in excess of £3000.
