Tommaso '87 aluminium racer

ALAN built Tommaso badged bike. Rescued from a life as a Miami Beach boardwalk "cruiser" (OE chainrings; no wear, but some saltwater corrosion is present) long ago, and brought back into racing form a bit lighterweight than when I purchased it and lighter than factory spec's.

Cleaned up and serviced; still need to do a good polish on the components (cannot find my aluminium polishing compound).

Still mostly original; but now with replacement saddle, wheels and pedals.

Campagnolo: Victory- corsa front and corsa rear mechs, shifters, & seat post, Triomphe- brake set, crankset, headset, & bottom bracket, Victory/Triomphe- chainrings (53/42); San Marco Concor Supercorsa Profil saddle; Ambrosio stem and bar; Regina 6 spd (13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21); Ofmega Competizione hubs; Wellgo pedals (early Look style) pedals; Fiamme Duran rims; and whatever tubs I had that held air.

Here is the 1988 Ten Speed Drive Imports (TSDI) catalog with the TA5000 Record "Sprint" listed. The "Sprint" was merely TSDI's component package and seems to pretty much match what my known original components are. Note: it shows both "Victory" & "Sprint" packages as essentially the same (except saddle description); but I think the "Victory" set up was Campagnolo's Victory group complete, and the "Sprint" set up was partially Victory group and partially Triomphe group which is what is on my bike.

I noticed that of the 3 images of the factory bike, all show different saddle designs and cockpits. The bike supposedly was avaliable with "Chorus", "Sprint", "Santé", or "105" component packages. I think the "105" package would technically be the set up even though it was most likely the least expensive (I know it's better than Chorus, Victory, and Triomphe; never used Santé).

@Jesper You stated you had the original parts on your Guerciotti Sprint. Could you please listvthe parts so I can compare my parts.

You asked for my Guerciotti's component build.
Here it is:
Campagnolo Victory FD, RD, shifters, Triomphe brake calipers/levers, pedals, cranks & I assume BB. The seat post (aero) was used by both groups, same with chainrings. Not sure what group headset is.
I don't have the wheels at hand but I believe the hubs were Triomphe not Victory.
Rims are Mavic tubular, but I don't think GEL (MP4?); need to check when see them.
Saddle is Asso, Cinelli handlebar and stem, Ribbon brand perforated tape, Regina chain and FW.

Aside from your wheels and pedals it looks like your bike is pretty much original and was most likely the same set-up as mine since Ten Speed Drive built-up all their frames and painted the steel frames themselves also. I do not know about your about your saddle. My bike is an '86 so I cannot compare it directly to a catalog. My bike has maybe 50 to 100 miles on it, but often times a saddle is the first thing to go either during the purchase or shortly afterwards. My saddle shows zero wear so though I think it is original, but I will never know unless I see another with that same saddle.

Just to note for others referencing the catalog images to ID their bikes:
The first image of the "Record Aluminum" bike with the light background is not the correct model in the image; and that bike is a steel frame not alloy (bad catalog production!).
The second image of the bike with dark red background is the correct bike.
The third image is an ALAN alloy frame, but it is not the same frame as the other one even though the bikes have the same model name.

I believe as ALAN models go; the frame you have (as well as myself) was called the "Tourist", and the final image shows a "Record" frame as marketed by the frame maker, and not the frame distributor. Main difference is in the seat stay conjunction at the cluster. Also, I believe the "Tourist" chainstays are a little longer (~1cm - 1.5cm) than the "Record" frame, but please do not quote me on that as I have never measured them, nor read anywhere confirming my statement.
