todays ride with pics

Great pics. Don't think we get enough riding pics on the site actually.

There is something 'right' about riding near the sea too. Great views, different weather, different air. OK, its not like mountains, but in some ways more leisurely and pleasant.

Sadly live about as far from the sea as possible now. What a twonk

Nice ride. Jealous.

Being from Manitou this looks like a wonderful change of pace. Simply beautiful. Sounds like quite a ride. Thanks for the great pictures.

...this time of year, stay clear of the moors.

to mjn

well this is my 2nd, i had the original and that was fine, sold it to get the newer one which has also been fine, done 2 24hr races with it and 2 winters commuting and various night rides, never had an issue but i have heard there are reliability issues, seems to be a case of good one bad one, but i have no complaints, like the lack of cables and battery bags and find that i can see everthing no problem when it gets pitch black. hope that helps if your thinking of getting one, i wouldn't bother with the top one now though, i would go for the one at £275 with 3 led's. :D

glad you guys like the pics, i always like to see where other people ride and pics always help. gives me good ideas of where i would like to ride. i want a gps system next that way i can bugger off and ride somewhere totally different but seeing others rides helps decide on where that could be. :D

so yeah i'd like to see more pics from peoples rides, pickle and wu always do a good job of that, loved ken's recent shots, they were cool, ameybrooks ride pics are awsome, would love to ride there.

so pics pics pics!!!!! :D :D :D

Sweet story man. Like it.
Now living probably only 45 mins from southampton, but haven't ridden the IOW. Whats the route length on that?
Maybe we should have a 'rides section'. . .

it's not a long route, about 14miles i think but i extend it if i can depending on weather/time etc. when i get to freshwater i can ride the tennyson trail which goes through the golf course and just carries on so it can become a long ride and as russell says you can go right across the island off road if you want although i'm not sure of the complete route. do like it though. :D

i'm off out again in a while, local trails today, more pics later

Looks fun, have ridden around the island in my youth on a road bike, but never any off-roading. Don't live as close now, but would be up for an IOW retroride, I still have friends and family in Hants.
