To Restore or Not

Keep it original, an earlier poster said they made over 2000 of them as if to suggest they are plentiful. Are they plentiful ?
Remember this site is for old bikes that are getting thin on the ground not new ones which are plentiful.

I say it's your call.

FWIW

If you restore a bike and then ride it loads......

......it acquires a new patina.

Re:

Hard decision.

I was in the same situation twice.

The first time I decided to repaint the complete bike (excluding the fork that it came from another bike) because it was in a really poor conditions.

The second frame I got it was in not so poor conditions but some bubbles and painting gone in the white area. In that case I took the decision to keep the original painting (decals, green and magenta) and just repair the damaged white areas.

I prefer to keep original painting in my bikes, however not always is possible.

Good luck
