JeRkY Retrobike Rider Gold Trader Feedback View May 21, 2010 #2 just a little tip for next time, mask off the threads...makes life a lot easier later!
Z Ziggy Senior Retro Guru May 21, 2010 #3 Might not want to get too much on those threads... Some kind of clear plastic would probably stop the paint rubbing off instantly?

GT-Steve Retrobike Rider Gold Trader Feedback View May 21, 2010 #4 Yeah I was gonna do that for all the next coats, as there's going to be quite a few additional layers going on now, Initially just wanted to see how it came out, and tbh, i'm quite happy with the initial results

Click to expand... Just used automotive rattle can primer, I had a look for a zinc/etch primer, but to be honest I think this has done a decent enough job I didn't sand all the ano off either, so it wasn't entirely a direct spray on to raw aluminium.
