Agree about the light, but if the tracking device was in the top cap or saddle bar, then less so i would of thought.

Have removed the quick release from my seat anyway, and think that has stopped it from being nicked.

'ishaw' won't like either! ;o) But quite like the bikespike if you can hide it in the bottle carrier. Also like the way it will tell you if it is being tampered with: http://bikespike.com/how-it-works/

Of course once you put a GPS tracker in a lorry (full of stolen bikes), without view of the sky, think the GPS can no longer communicate with the satellites = redundant?! But not 100% sure on that point.

Still searching for a good solution.......
