Ti ... To paint or not to paint (Kona content)

makster had a ti frame brush finished which looked nice, maybe have it blasted or brushed in some way, I like it when they polish part then brush over the top for the decals. though not sure id do that to my hei hei

Re:

I use an etching primer for aluminum and such, has acid that bites into the metal, not very friendly stuff,,I have a repaired Litespeed beater, was concidering doing a reverse panel paintjob to hide the ugly welds at the headtube,,,My Hei Hei,,no paint.weird one, with disc tab added by DeKerf.

If a paint-job is gonna be what it takes for you to smile with joy when you see your beautiful bike then go for it. It can be undone in the future should it require it.

I am a sucker for painted Ti though. (even though it's not retro)

Thanks guys ... Ok, sounds like the consensus is that I'm not completely barking ... I definitely want to create something that is very retro and true to the spirit of 90s Kona :-) If I can find some time I might try and mock up some photoshop scamps of frame respray ideas.
