I guess the seat tube is pretty slack so that could stuff things up, especially if the rear triangle is short?
Thoughts pls - is suspension travel too long?

The bike is floppy and wobbly and dangerous with these long travel forks - unrideable
70mm forks were perfect - but I’ve a chance to swap with some 80mm travel Quake Air but if that’s going to give me the same result as the 100 then I’ll be in trouble again

Here's a 1994 frame with some Rond Quake of about 30mm travel, more than enough for this bike anyway

You can switch the forks to 80mm travel looking at the manual.

I had no idea they were adjustable - only manual I found shows how to adjust air and dampening - can’t find anything which shows how to adjust travel. @xtaffa offered me a swap for his Quake Air so let’s hope he’s happy with the axle to crown measurements !
