Is that the Hope adaptor? Pretty specific in terms of what hubs and brakes it works with no?

Tensile do a very similar thing that should be a lot more universal and only costs around £30.

I used an FSR Sharkfin adaptor for a while (not on an FSR) and it was pretty solid. Dunno how happy I'd be using the hope or tensile ones as they have potential pivot points

The 'hope' one cant be compared to that pressed steel affair. I and others have been using the hope one for over a decade without issue.
In fact, a couple of welded on eyelets welded on every frame are flimsier that the hope or therapy one. It's supported on two points either of which would resist twisting. Braced on the canti stud theyre fine as the lobo used that system and theres been no reports ive been aware of concerning things snapping ,breaking or pivoting.

The thing this threads about cannot be compared to anybike bit suitable for the job. Its cheap and nasty and i doubt theres any design in it whatsoever.

As luck would have it, I've a couple But just waiting for a member to get back to me on one. Different bracing as it's for a lobo, so I'm just waiting to hear which he requires.

The surplus will be surplus

The only thing is you need to use a hope hub and a solid axle one at that. Conversion is easy as its just a matter of sawing off one end of the axle to shorten it.

I've got an 18" Kona with discs tabs on you could have for sensible money if you want to have brakes Steve , it's 97 so retro too .
