Hi Chaps, I'm really a pre 1997 kinda guy but this is my most modern ride..... The Thorn Nomad ss circa 2001/2
Recently powder coated fillet brazed and British built with reynolds 531, this frame has the SS coupling mounts for splitting it into 2 in case you fancy going further afield, I believe this alone cost £500 to have done. Now yes, the butterfly bars are awful to look at but give so many riding positions for long jaunts into the countryside and it is easilly converted converted into flatbar if need be, the frame does actually suit big tyres and no mudguards too but this guise is what thorns were meant to look like.Powder coat wasnt fantastic in the odd place but hey, £60 wasnt too bad imo, it has Full 9spd LX excluding the deore chainset, rims are Mavic X717, City jet tyres and I have the original XT on sun with fatter tyres hung in the shed for if theyre ever needed.
A real workhorse
