Having seen the photo' the guy is going to send me a suitable pair of springs as a replacement (he'd already sent me a second pair of elastomers - the ones on the right...) so fair play to him...

I inherited some old RSTs with a bike. On stripping them down
they were full of mud, or so I thought.

Mate check em to discover it was liquidised elastomer.

The elastomers in my Judy's just crumbled too, but they have been replaced by a nice set of springs now. My dad has RST's on his Giant though....best stip them down for him and check what they are like :?
They don't seem to like temperature change so I've been told??

They dissolve when they get too hot and turn to rock when it's cold!

Just replaced the duff originals on my Manitou II's with heavy duty Wings springs and now I have a better-than-new fork in place of a rather fancy looking rigid one...
