Hardly watched after-school telly .. .. used to get home and go out to play with me chums.

Home for dinner and then the paternal parent would comandeer the telly for the news and other grown-up stuff.

Remember earlier stuff like Hectors House, Chigley and the Herbs though.

at primary school, get home to watch blockbuster (chewing on a toffee by nan had given me) before the kids tv started, always remember Tickle on the tum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j1NIufVD98

At secondary school, made sure i got home early to grab the BMX or MTB to head up to the local jump spot for a jump or 2 (thats bout all i could manage as i was never any good), but mainly a cheeky under-age smoke, then cycle home before it got dark using those crappy everready bike lights

I tried to see how quickly I could walk home for a while. The earliest I got in was 3:54pm just in time for kids TV. If anyone knows Hitchin I walked from Hitchin Boys's School to the other side of Windmill Hill near to Whitehill School. Just short of a mile up a bloody big hill.
