Thermal trousers anyone have a pair?

Some really serious outdoor gear behind the Fat Chance. For high altitudes i guess

Mostly used for basecamp duties, not ideal in this countries wet climate, I have a few synthetic down jackets for that.

Touching on a previous statement, I run really hot, I wear shorts for most of the year when riding or walking, where one of my regular riding and walking partners wears layers in most conditions. Highly subjective as to what clothes or system to wear.

I wear £25 walking shoes for riding year round, grippy as hell! And if it's torrential I'll go for my stinky old walking boots which should have retired years ago.

When basecamps are set over 4000 meters above sea level, it counts as high altitude..
I guess it is an anecdote of Tenzing, when he was introduced to Mont Blanc, he was asked
"-How do you like our mountains?"
He replied
"-These are just hills"

Doubt he'd have survived Denmark

I have Gore kit too - it is brilliant. My jersey has seen many winters and many, washes and is still good. I wear the Gore wind stopper bib tights with Gore shorts over the top.

Thanks for all the ideas and info. Unfortunately I came down from a stepladder and injured my ankle. I sort of put it on hold but will hopefully be back on the bike sometime in January
