There be something missing here ......

Did your father used to be a milkman as my sister is also a genger and she is the only one in our family...poor girl  You only live down the road after all

i always de stickered my bikes except a few choice but discreet mint sauce ones, however i did have my name stickered when i was racing lots, damn you mbuk telling everyone how to get sponsored lol

Bitd my Orange Prestige was a horrific colourclash now I think about it.
Must have been a 93' or 94' Prestige frame in silver & purple, with purple anodised bits here and there, flouro yellow maguras, loads of orange "oranges" stickers (anyone else remember them)?, and a mix of LX, DX, and god knows what else. The rims were MA40's for Christ sakes! Lol!

I don't think I could replicate that bike now even if I tried. I think now I'm an advocate of the "less is more" school of thought.

i love flouro on bikes ,there's not enough of it these days
3dv anno too

this has kinda turned into a sticker thread

getting back to the op question ,bitd we always had upgrades going on
turn up for a ride after a feverish evening spent fitting new bars (3t being my fave at one time ) or 3dv brake boosters or some other
bit of bike jewellery , only to be outdone by someone having
new forks ,or wheels , or mint sauce stickers because they had an
MBUK subscription and you had to wait a week till it was in the shops

happy daze

I agree, we never kept bikes stock. The 1st thing to change 0n my then new '93 Hahanna (best i could afford) was a control tech seatpost which took me weeks to save for.

By the time i part ex'd it for a Kula i think the only original bits were the frame & wheels :)

I still do the same thing (i'm probably more skint now than Bitd  ), I've gone back to a Hahanna thats a total mash up of parts which i look forward to upgrading & its my only bike :D

But i still love riding it :D and one of my favorite bits on it are my X-Lite Stubbies.........does that mean i haven't grown up yet :?:
