Makes it (originating IP address) available in the thread for all the scammed people to be able to reference.

I'd agree, trying to conclude name and address may be a bit fruitless / blunt tool / charcoal vague, but having the full header of emails available for all who need, plus the ISP details may be of use?

The guilty party is going to be reading this, so perhaps they should weigh in and explain themselves and let it all resolve.
