Thanks for your comment, it's very encouraging to continue pursuing my passion for bikes.

For equipment, well, I found a PINK Bell Image. And new. And for €15.
Of course, the size doesn't fit me; not everything was going to be perfect. 🤣

But if one has appeared, another will appear, perhaps in blue instead of pink. Who knows?

From a pure visual aesthetic point of view, I think it would be worth researching and trying to eliminate the silver parts except the central shock unit. Easier said than done. The front fork canti-bridge in this configuation with the Maguras would be fairly easy to deal with. When it comes to the whole transmission, yes we get the default Shimano - but Shimano were dreadful at imposing their aesthetics with limited choice.

Sounds crazy, but with a LX 56x transmission the yellow will just pop out more I think. The rear mech can be made all black by splitting with XT or road - it is more involved.

All would be in the magic numbers too.

heres mine from 2011, original stem too

Black components?
It could also provide a great contrast with the black frame.
I have a Sachs Quartz thermoplastic, black of course.
Perhaps that option should be considered.

I've read the whole thread, it's super interesting.
I was impressed by the Verlicchi stem in blue, but from what I see, it's oversized, so I'd have to replace the handlebars too. Well, a 31.8 riser bar is easy to find (an Easton Monkey Lite, perhaps?)
Sir, I have to say you have a beautiful bike!

P.S. Suntour XC Pro MD is a legendary acronym. I noticed the bottom bracket was Shimano. I have a Suntour WTB grease guard bottom bracket that I'll give you if you'd like to help, although I'm afraid it's for cranks with standard chainrings and therefore will be at least 10 mm longer than your cranks need.

Honestly, the more I see these Verlicchi frames, the more I like them.
If the blue and purple ones were gorgeous, the green version has to be from another planet.
