THe Rock Zombies!

Who remember the Cornish Rock Zombies?!
I was with my old BMX riding buddy Mikey Richardson the other day, he was also a great MTB rider [still is] and he was one of the founders of the ROck Zombies. He used to race for Cosmic Trail BITD, and he's now organising a reunion of the original Rock Zombies - now THERE is a a magazine article Id like to see!

Yes. I recall them from mbuk bitd, real early 90s. Weren't they sponsored or at least mates with 'local motion'. All the bikes were fully kitted up with saddle bags, shoulder bags, top tube pads and stem pads. It looked like they'd had a nasty accident with some pipe lagging in their local plumbase.

Thats exactly it! Sorry for not explaining better, the Rock Zombies were a bunch of late 80's / early 90's riders who had a few articles about them riding the old tin mines and quarries in Cornwall - great fun articles they were.
Some of the zombies rode for Local Motion, and a couple rode for Cosmic Trail - two Penzance based frame pad/frame bag/helmet cover companies - neon all the way!

Wasn't Scott Dommett part of them?

cheers for the shout for the zombies. Scott dommet was from down here but never really came on rock zombie rides as he was much more into trials riding back then as opposed to cross country. A couple of us did ride for cosmic trail but not for local motion. we are having a 20 year reunion ride this summer and amazingly lots of us still ride. We have a facebook group TRURO ROCK ZOMBIES which we will upload pics of the old mag articles and also some old photos.

Funnily enough I have the article right here...Scott Robinson did well in the Sports Class in 1991...
