the price of a pint...

Wish my wife drank beer - you should see what they charge for a large glass of wine!
Particularly expensive when we go skiing - everyone else in the party has a beer (OK, me and my Irish mate might sneak in the odd Jagermeister!), but Mrs A has a "glass of white and a bottle of water". Why can't she just eat snow? (Not the yellow stuff, obviously!)

sam smith pubs are the future...just get yoursen down the local wetherspoons, its where all us classy characters drink.

Then order the cold urine i mean fosters.

I offer retrobike discount but judging on the states i've seen Andy and Dave in full price @ £4 is what you should be paying!

Most pubs around ours will charge around £2.80 a pint for lager (Fosters, Carlsberg - that kind of crap).

I went to a wedding at a nearby hotel last Saturday and they wanted £3.60 for Becks Vier and £3.40 for Boddingtons. They had a separate bar upstairs that was supposedly cheaper. I got a Becks and Hoegaarden and it came to £8.55

Round my way it is consistently £3.30ish :( for a pint of cider (Stowford Press, Thatchers Gold, that sort of thing (there isn't a cider called that sort of thing by the way, but it might be a good idea)). Fosters and other crap brews are about £3.20 and "premium" beers such as Stella and Becks are normally £3.50. Farmhouse cider (scrumpy) is still normally under £3, but what you don't spend in pints, you'll make up for in toilet paper. Ale can be found at under £3, but not in many places; although on the plus side, most of the pubs round my may have an excellent selection of well kept beers. :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I live in the countryside; head for Bristol (Clifton is the worst) and a pint of Peroni can cost as much as £4.70 (browns on Park St) :(
