It was me! I was only searching for bike stuff within a 10 mile radius of my address and up at the top of the screen appears the Attitude, reflex action just clicked the buy it now! Was thinking that after all the coverage and the emails he received that the seller would pull out, but drove 3 minutes down the road and picked it up tonight!

It's a 1993 19" frame and first impressions are that it's a sorry state! Seatpost seems stuck, hopefully a good soaking of WD40 will ease that? Paintwork has loads of bubbling especially round the cable entries and the water bottle bosses as well as round the seat post clamp. Headset bearings are shot and BB bearings don't feel great!

First job is to get the seatpost out then a respray is on the cards. Next find a new set of headset and BB bearings (any pointers to some sources would be much appreciated) as well as a quill bolt to rebuild it into a fuselage. Might need a new set of Rock Shox legs, I'll take these ones apart and see how they look, seals are pretty knackered!

Below are a few pics I've taken tonight, looking forward to bringing the poor old thing back to life!

Congrats!
Even with that kind of condition..it is a score!

Did you pay extra for stem and fork? Dont say that they were included...

I didn't want to say for fear of being hated even more but the forks and stem were thrown in for no extra! Along with a tatty M900 rear mech and M735 front mech!

Needs a lot of love, but jeez, get it looking good and if you ebay'd it you'll be laughing even more!

you cant respray as they say its original paintwork LOL.

that looks like a great project just in time for xmas and with a bit of care and time that will turn out to be a nice machine. This is one of those projects that will take time but will have a great story behind it. get jonrock on the spray job and with your luck strata forks. just hope you keep this topic alive with pics of your progress.

thanks andy
