I think the Nagel Rio cover is pretty iconic. Probably one of the most iconic 80s covers ever TBH.....

While maybe not the most famous, there have been a few unusual covers that come to mind. The Stones Sticky Fingers first edition with the zipper.

Alice Cooper Billion Dollar Babies was a giant wallet, complete with wallet size pics and a oversize Billion dollar bill. Uriah Heep Look At Yourself had a "mirror" (chrome effect print) on the front. Gentle Giant In a Glass House had an interesting cellophane negative picture of the band members that superimposed on another pic on the sleeve.

On the infamous side, there's the banned H. R. Geiger cover of the Dead Kennedys Frankenchrist, and the cover of the Dayglo Abortions Here Today, Guano Tomorrow that got them charged with publishing obscene material (they got off).
