After it was installed but my local bike shop owner who is a longtime bike mechanic always did a very good job on all my bikes. On the Piton, the Cube and my Cannondale aluminium frames, headsets were installed properly and without any issues. My bike mechanic even told me that the headset I bought for the Coppi K14 a Cane Creek was posing problems and that I had to better buy a Campy headset for a smooth and trouble free headset installation. Which is what I did. I already had a frame f*cked up (my Daccordi Fly which I gave to my bike mechanic and that he got repaired) because of a faulty Chris King headset . My bike mechanic never installed Chris King headsets on any bike he had but FSA, Ritchey, Ofmega, Mavic, Campy, Ringle, Stronglight, Shimano and Tioga.Did the frame crack when installing the headset?
Me too. And with Italian alloy frames, a Campy headset generally works betterI remember the Daccordi Fly cracking aswell. Such a shame!
