Had been going since the start until 2006 with my Dad, was better in the early days when it was not so busy before it got trendy. Will be going down in September to the Revival though and to Classis LeMans next year.

Better get in early for the camping passes dude, Maison Blanche sells out really quick for the classic and it's the best site. We will be there on the Saturday night. We've managed to find a tatty old Chateau with a few spare rooms for the Thursday and Friday nights as we've come to the conclusion that kipping in small 1960's Alfas after a 600 mile drive is pretty toss.
I think there might be a few RB members about for the Classic, maybe have a mini meet and a few Grand Marnier Crepes??
Went down yesterday (saturday) – managed to sneak a couple of tickets and press badges which were used to great advantage when the rain started falling in the morning. Everything dried up by mid day though.
Thought the Rally stage was great this year – good turn out of cars and drivers.
Felt that the cars were taking it a little easy on the hill though, for the most part. In the past most of the cars really went for it, but now it seems to be too many demo runs in hugely valuable cars that they don't want to thrash – can't blame them, but it would be nice to get a real sense of competition like you have at the revival.
Highlight was watching Jesse James and his monster dakar truck thing going up the hill – then straight through the top paddock and onto the rally stage – then down over the offroad experience track – damn, the dust went everywhere. That thing can really motor (nearly 900bhp)
