Well, what can I say? It’s a dream come true to find one let alone two in XS.
This is one of 3 Adroits owned in the last year or so but only two remain as the 3rd was too big for me to ride.
This is the exact antithesis of the Caroline Alexander Klein I restored recently.
There isn’t much to say other than to congratulate @viengsavanh for painstakingly putting it together over many years and for being a great sport in letting me get my grubby mitts on it.
Everything other than the brake pad blocks, tyre valve dust covers and saddle are installed by his design. I haven’t had to do much.
Also credit goes to him for keeping it in such good shape for over a decade.
There is some custom anodising in this although I’m not usually a fan of that. The seatpost and cranks have been anodised green and they really look the part. This was done a long time ago and predates both previous owner and me. I’m glad it was done. The patience required to source all the other rare green parts is something not all of us enjoy but the parts are what make up the whole ensemble.
When all is said and done it’s a beauty. I fully appreciate that it’s not everyone’s cup of rosy lee. Love it or loathe it but you cannot ignore the Gary Klein way.
I hope you all enjoy some pics that I am about to share.
Cheers
