I cast my mind back a while and remember being slagged off on this very forum for having a pop at Lance.

Would anyone like to come on and defend him this time?

The only thing I would suggest is that practically everyone was 'at it', but that is no excuse for continued denials and the holier than thou stance at all.

So, no, I would say the multi millionaire sportsman doesn't really need me in his corner even if I was so inclined.

The fact remains that despite being the most tested rider of recent years, there has not been one positive test result (or so we are lead to believe).

Until a + test is revealed, its all just gossip.

Heh.........forgot about the "Albert Hall" similarities..........

I still think that there will be no legal proof of Armstrong using drugs, but the statements (and actual concrete test failures) by more and more of the team mates who set up his victories will eventually damn him.

hmmmmm I still dont understand how with all the testing that went on esp in the latter years once he was always having it thrown at him there was/is no legal proof? :?

George Hincapie has never failed a drug test but has allegedly admitted taking PED's and as such has cast a cloud over a great career.
Not failing a drug test has not been a defence for many years now.

I'm wondering if he will be staying in Marion Jones' old cell.

I know I am making light of the situation but do feel this is truely a black day for cycling.

Im not that well educated in the subject are we saying the testing itself and the organisations that did it are corrupt so they are worthless? :?

having just recently read the hincapie stuff, i'd still like to think that armstrong didn't dope but as with all of the recent goings on it wouldn't surprise me if he did and that's been my view for a long time.
