Tell me about your Commute?

Good effort Drapoon.

I have lots of various road and offroad routes, all reasonably hilly. Distances vary from 5miles to 15miles offroad each way. Road is whatever I want.

I bike 4/5 out of six working days and decide on the day what i'm doing by my bike choice.

Biked every day through winter though: that was hard at times.

Edit: I'm now curious as to the collective distance retrobikers do a week. Mine is easy as I try to cover 100miles a week. Some weeks more, some less, but that's the average.

Various reasons didnt get back in this week on the bike but building up to mayhem going to try for at least 3 times a week 8)

Stats either way was average 15.4 going and 19.8 coming home so be a benchmark to start with :D

Short one for me, 2.5 miles, downhill going uphill back, quicker getting home in the evening by bike as the car takes you through the centre of town (has taken 30 minutes) with the bike i cut through the shopping precinct 8)

Have walked it too plenty of times, takes 40 minutes, i like cars but not a fan of driving, my daily driver averages 3-5 K a year (on limited mileage with the insurance)

Only just over a mile for me. Work on the seafront and live up in town, so clearly getting to work is very easy. I wouldn't cycle if I had to put effort in as being in a professional job I cannot be sweaty, and there's no shower facilities there.

Cycling home doesn't matter, but it is a good slog once I have "warmed up" cycling along the seafront promenade! 8) In the summer there's usually some talent on the beach as well not wearing much - can be distracting!

This is the path I use. In the summer it is a lot buser though :D
