Finally getting around to this
Ive been in need of something since the last one blew up and ive been using a borrowed 26"
After much deliberation and trying to avoid the 'standard' £500 Xmas released model, which always seems to lack all the features of others in the same range.
Finally decided on the Sony KDL42W653
Then discovered John Lewis with their standard 5 year guarantee doesnt do that one in 42" just the 32"
Bums
What do they have ? The comparison price wise is the Panasonic TX-L42E6B
Like the Sony the Panasonic tests out very well with the Sony haveing the edge here and there. One or two points i need to be aware of but overall the quality is very similar.
Tough one :?
Does anyone have either of these two and if so how are you finding it ? Im not too clued up on all the intricacies of the tech in TV's. It would mainly be for Movies, fast moving motor sport, general movie viewing and possibly gaming.
On the gaming side the input lag on the Sony is near non existent.
The 2 tests ive looked at are here-
SONY

PANASONIC

I'd be happy to forgo the JL guarantee if the Sony came out better.
