Teesdale Kona Hot Frame w/ a stuck Syncros seatpost..

Apologies if this is blindingly obvious to you - but if you're persisting with penetrating oil, use a decent one like Plusgas, not WD40 etc.

WD40 is a water dispersant, not a penetrating oil
I've always removed stuck post with an adjustable reamer. Takes a while - all methods do. Never been beaten yet
Best of all, it doesn't damage the frame/paint

I know, but plenty of people don't see the distinction. I expect the OP does, but I'm just making sure.

Re:

Don't take a hacksaw blade to it! I did the same thing to a Fire Mountain frame, as I wanted to see how long it took/soul destroying it was and wasn't too concerned if I scored the tube inside a tiny bit.

The steel on the Hot is thinner and therefore more prone to trashing. Put it this way, I wouldn't do it on mine.

I would give the seatpost man a try TBH, I did get as far as having a quote off him for another of my bikes but didn't get around to sending it off. I would be interested to see the results :)

caustic is the simplest approach. Mix it, Pour it in, leave it, when it's cold repeat till it falls out.
I take posts out without damaging the paint, but I can't guarantee not to.

last post I pulled was from a mount vision, so ali in ali.
I chopped 6 slot's with a Cengar saw, took about 15 to
20 mins, not a mark on the frame.

I can see a puller way to do it.
Sort of shouldered clamp on the seat tube, not tight on the seat tube or post.
Clamp on seat tube.
Push the two apart.
I thought about doing this to the mount vision but it turned out the bloke had
chopped the post off level with the top of the seat tube.

Re:

I've tried pretty much everything other than the hacksaw blade and caustic soda. it won't budge.

Going to go with the soda approach.
