Went to $250 - with shipping and customs to bear in mind that was as far as I was going to go.

Shame.

Me too, $250+ loose change. Need to resist the knee jerk purchase though, anyone own a Dialled bikes alpine?

I would have said that was a bargain....

Don't do that Mate - I'm having second thoughts now...

  Well it's true....wait til Utahdog gets up and he'll confirm. What's even more annoying is is probably WOULD have fitted me as it has a 13" high bottom bracket and a top tube a mile long, i.e. a 17" EWR would fit me who normally rides 18"

I have a self imposed bike buying ban on though so I mustn't grumble :?

LOL, I was on this aswell.. Bailed around the $250 mark too 'cos of customs etc. Don't mind the £40 shipping bill, but the potential for a £300 customs invoice isn't one I want to gamble with at the moment.

Its debatable though isn't it, what with the lack of a market history and relative condition, even utah reckoned $300ish top line. Guess it more comes down to how much you can spend and how much you want it and then set market price.

Even considering it's plain gauge 4130 that frame had clearly had a hard life and hadn't been pampered, which was clear from the pics - I have to say I was squinting at some of the images convinced I was seeing cracks (probably not though).

...still having second thoughts though...

Ha me too, even though I probably overspent on my bid. I think we probably had it right though, yo-eddy reckoned $200 and we all more or less went to $250, which plus shipping was about $320 which is somewhere in utah's valuation.

Rest easy guys,...$313 seems pretty high for a bike with that kind or wear, even for a hard-as-nails frame like an EWR. Considering you'd also have to pay shipping to get it over to you guys, I'd say you did the right thing by letting it go. I'd call that sale price just on the cusp of sanity. For someone dying to get their hands on one its probably worth it, but if you were hoping for a deal, then you did good to let it go. I wouldn't have gone over 300 for it.

There will be more, gents. They are pretty damn rare, but they pop up every once in a while. :D
