As far as I know, Target wasn't a brand name used by Falcon - although I could well be wrong. However, according to a mate from that area there was a company with various target-related names (such as 'Target Wheel Products') based in an industrial unit in Barton which ran a low-volume production of bicycles assembled using imported frames and kits.

Thank you, that's really interesting to hear. Adds a bit of mystery to the frame's origins.

In bike news, I've swapped the Vittoria tyres for Goodyear Eagle Sports as they had started to crack after one year, which is a tad frustrating. Lets see how the Goodyears last...
