The current price is a relative bargain and it is sure to go up. Same dude keeps upping it ever so slightly.
That's kind of pointless IMO to constantly low ball and inch the bids up by 14 microbids. At least knobby put in some proper bids. There might be a bit of intimidation still in play with that double bid but surely others will join in at the current price.
I presume RBers not previously interested in this item aren't going to bid the item up. I do hope we are beyond that. I suspend 'auctions tactics' here and hope others extend a similar courtesy.
I offered a tip or two on 'double bidding' and tried to instill some strategy to those who don't practice these techniques. The seller gets a top price and the bidder still gets the item for a price he is willing to pay, There is nothing childish or nefarious in those tactics.
People who make stupid increased bids should be driven up in their price (except in this hopefully friendly and helpful forum). If they pay $20 more for a part that is $20 less they have for another part. If they constantly overbid they will fall by the wayside and the prices for the rest of us competent educated bidders on RB will lower.
Any suggestion of 'that's not fair' or accusations of childish behavior are silly. In a free market the good buyers and sellers will prevail. The idiots will not. There is no bailout for the idiots in an auction.
It is human nature at it's finest. Only the strong survive.
