Talking of Parrots!!

Parrots are amazing... I was working alone one day in a house with a parrot in the living room; I was working in another room down the hallway. At one point I heard the phone ringing for a while, then got the fright of my life when I heard the man of the house answer it, despite being elsewhere.
Both the phone and the man (characteristic cough and all) were actually the parrot - at least as convincing as a tape recording!

When I was a youngun we looked after my grandma's African Grey parrot after she passed away...
He was a cranky old fella and prone to the odd outburst.
My mother was sorting out the funeral arrangements, with a member of the clergy popping in to sort out the service... The parrot took one look at him and yelled 'F*ck off!'
Did the same to a bobby after we reported a theft.
We never did find out who taught him the language, but he certainly knew when to use it.
